Is your homes arteries and vein plugged up? What-HUH  Read more

Your homes HVAC system is much like your bodies circulatory system, the human body has a heart and arteries and veins, so does your homes HVAC system.

The heating and cooling systems equipment is the heart of your HVAC system and the air tubes, (ducting) is the HVAC's arteries and vein.   What happens when your arteries and veins plugged up? High blood pressure, heart damage and much more. The same things happen to your HVAC system!!

Let’s say your body has a restricted artery going to your brain, what may happen to your brain and body? Well the same happens to your HVAC system and you may not know anything is wrong until there is a problem with your air conditioning and heating system.

Most of the time an air conditioning system is not making the home comfortable and is costing a ton to operate and keeps breaking down. Why don’t a know something is wrong? Well people have gotten used to how a air conditioning system isn’t suppose run, the house was always like this and so is almost ever other home I go into, is there really something wrong. 95% off the time, hell yes!!

The first thing to know is most likely your ducting was never designed properly and even worse installed properly leaving you with clogged arteries.

What are the symptoms of HVAC clogged arteries?

·        Some air vents seem to have little air flow and others have air that seems to blow super hard and the air vents are noisy, super hard means the ducts are under-sized or clogged per se.

·        Some rooms are too warm while other rooms are too cold

·        The upstairs is too hot while the downstairs is too cold

·        If running the ac at say 74 degrees and your energy bills are high, it is not the equipment, it is the ducting-clogged arteries 95% of the time

·        If the home never seems to cools off most likely the ac is not undersized as most people think, the ducting is undersized, (same as clogged arteries) and the home never fills up with cold air

How did this happen?

Simple, someone hired the wrong HVAC company or guy and thought they got a good deal, unfortunately this happens 90-95% of the time.

How do I remedy this?

·        First find 2-3 quality contractors, (not 8-12) ask questions and soon you will know if you have a professional or an imposter who doesn’t have the knowledge or employees with the training and skill to execute a proficient design and installation.

·        Next seek advice and don’t be afraid to open up and be honest with your contractor about your needs, fears and budget.

·        Next ask your contractor to provide options with different prices
